Olivia saw the doctor on Monday and was diagnosed with Preseptal Cellulitis. In Layman's terms, an eyelid infection. She had to get an antibiotic shot so when the nurse came in to give it to her she got a little upset so to try to distract her I told her she would get stickers after she got the shot. Usually this works. This time she told him "I just want to stickers, you can keep the shot!" Getting the shot was very upsetting for her. She cried almost the whole 15 minutes we had to wait in the office afterward.
We then went downstairs to the pharmacy and while we waited for her prescription to be filled we did what we always do and sat next to the indoor fountains and watched the water fall. As we sat there she was still wimpering from the shot and she said "It's a beautibul day to look at water falls if you don't have shots and bandaids."
SO then yesterday she started to have a fever. It grew to almost 105 last night and she was up most of the night. Brian took her back to the doctor today. When Dr. Benbow walked into the room she looked at him skeptically and said "Show me your hands, I don't want a shot."
