Oli must have had a little bug this week. She had the runs for about 2 days but no fever and really didn't seem to feel too bad. She was a little more clingy and a little fussy but that's all.
Today we tried to go swimming at the pool but there was a swim meet going on so we had to come home and swim in the blowup froggy pool. She still had a blast. That girl loves water! She is finally blowing bubbles!!! I hope she will do it in the big pool too.
I talked to her today about working on her walking. We set a goal of 3 weeks from now. That should give her time to practice before her 1st birthday.

Trip to Houston
We spent the weekend in Houston visiting friends with a little but of family mixed in. We stayed Friday night at the Hamilton's and Saturday at the Dudley's. Olivia was easy cheesy as usual. We are so lucky to have such an easy going baby.
On Sunday Oli got to stay with her Nana and Grandpa Ken while we went to the Astros game. She had lots of fun swimming and playing.

So far so good
Yeah!!! She did it again!! Went to bed a little later last night but fell alseep in her bed and slept until 7:30am!
As I look at the title of this again I remember almost 1 year ago I was so aggravated to hear the words "so far". When we went in for our 10 week ultrasound Dr. Martin looked at me and said "everything looks good...so far". That is not what you want to hear from the doctor when you are finally pregnant after trying and trying with numerous failures. It sounded like he had such low expectations. I had high expectations and they were beyond fulfilled!

Figuring things out
Life right now involves a lot of figuring things out. For example, I am still trying to figure out exactly how to use this Blog thing, I'm figuring out the best bedtime routine to get Olivia to sleep at night, figuring out how to get her arms through long sleeves...
Last night I was finally able to lay her down in bed while she was still awake and she was able to fall asleep in bed. I stayed there right beside the bed, hunched over next to her with my hand on her chest. I don't know if this was for her benefit or mine. She fell asleep rather quickly and slept through the night until 5am. YEAH!! I will try the same routine tonight (except I hope to do better at the long sleeve thing) and hope it works as well.
