Allergist

Oli went to the allergist today. I picked her up early from school and when I got there Ms. Annette told me she had not slept at all. She talked throughout the entire nap time! Ms. Annette said Olivia talked more in that hour than she has in two weeks put together. Well, I was not looking forward to a 2 hour doctors appointment with a 2 year old anyway, but especially not a 2 year old without a nap. I was pleasantly surprised by her behavior at the appointment though. She was very well behaved and we had fun playing together as we waited for the doctor. She practiced her yoga poses and I must say, she is amazing at downward facing dog pose and the tree pose.
So anyway, back to the allergies. The sticks on her back were very painful for her and she cried a lot. I was able to distract her with some silliness but as soon as the nurse came back in to look at the results she freaked out. She did not want that lady anywhere near her. I had to hold her in a leg lock so they could check the results. Come to find out, she is allergic to bananas and strawberries. He said she probably has an intolerance for shrimp and should avoid it. So, no more strawberry milkshakes or banana bread :(
