Oink oink!

On Wednesday Olivia left school with a fever of 102 and a little cough. I was at home sick already so Mom picked her up and brought her home. We went to pick up something to eat and the more I looked at her I realized we should call the doc. They were able to get us right in to see a Dr. so we headed over there and on the way Olivia threw up all over herself. Poor baby! She was so upset about it. Well sure enough she tested positive for the flu. It is now Saturday night and she still has a little fever. It has been up and down. Her symptoms are mild and she goes in and out of good spirits. Occasionally she complains that her head or her throat or her feet hurt. She's been really good about drinking fluids but she hasn't eaten very much. This morning she woke up and seemed fine but about and hour later she turned around looking pitiful and said "I need go back in me bed Mommy". So I put her back in bed and she fell fast asleep.

I'm trying to remain sane and not worry too much. It's hard not to worry with all the talk of how bad it can be and such little talk about the many many people who are just fine after having the flu. We are hoping that tomorrow her fever will be all gone and that she can go back to school on Monday.
